The ENSNARE project is guided by its External Advisory Board (EAB), a distinguished group of experts dedicated to maximizing the project’s impact. The EAB provides strategic advice and guidance to ensure the successful market upscale of the innovative solutions developed within the project. With their vast experience in sustainable energy, urban planning, and technological innovation, the EAB members play a critical role in steering the ENSNARE consortium toward achieving meaningful and lasting results in the built environment sector.

Meet our EAB Members

David Grisaleña 

Innovation and Sustainability Area, Visesa

David Grisaleña is an Industrial Engineer specializing in Industrial Organization, with an Executive Master in Innovation. With over 15 years of experience in innovation projects at regional, national, and European levels, he currently serves as the Innovation and Sustainability Responsible at Visesa. David focuses on implementing R&D projects, mainly co-financed by the European Commission, managing energy services as an ESCO in social housing, and promoting digitalization and sustainability concepts within Visesa’s mission of providing affordable, quality social housing.

Visesa (Vivienda y Suelo de Euskadi S.A.) is a public-sector company affiliated with the Basque Government’s Department of Housing and Urban Agenda. Its primary mission is to develop high-quality subsidized housing in the Basque autonomous community, ensuring the right to decent housing for all sectors of society.

Andreas Luible

Head of Institute of Civil Engineering (IBI) & Competence Center Building Envelopes and Civil Engineering, HSLU

Prof. Dr. Andreas Luible heads the Institute of Civil Engineering at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU). With a background in civil engineering from the Technical University of Munich and a doctorate from EPF Lausanne, Andreas has extensive experience in façade engineering. Since 2010, he has led research efforts in glass design, new façade technologies, and energy-efficient building envelopes, contributing significantly to advancing adaptive façade systems.

Shady Attia

Professor in Sustainable Architecture & Building Technology, Head of Sustainable Building Design Lab, Liège University 

Prof. Dr. Shady Attia is a distinguished professor at Liège University, specializing in sustainable architecture and building technology. As the head of the Sustainable Building Design Lab, he focuses on decision-support for high-performance buildings, zero-energy construction, and building decarbonization. An active member of the International Building Performance Simulation Association and various ISO committees, Dr. Attia has authored books and published over 72 peer-reviewed Q1 journal articles, placing him in the top 2% of scientists worldwide in his field.

The Sustainable Building Design Lab, part of Liège University’s Faculty of Applied Science, focuses on design decision-support for high-performance buildings and user-centered advanced facades. The lab conducts research in building physics and building technology, contributing significantly to the development of sustainable architectural solutions.

Annoesjka Nienhuis

Program Manager for Innovation & Sustainability in the Built Environment, Municipality of Amsterdam

Annoesjka Nienhuis specializes in innovation and sustainability within the built environment. As the Program Manager at the Municipality of Amsterdam Southeast, she leads efforts to integrate sustainable urban strategies, focusing on energy-efficient buildings, renewable energy, and circular economy practices. Her role includes managing complex urban projects, making her an asset to the ENSNARE project’s success.
